BEAUTY,

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blushes

As soon as the Becca Luminous blushes launched I grabbed the two shades that were a preview for the collection and I already did a blog post about them that you can read here. If you read the previous post you know I’m a big fan of the two shades that I tested so I was super excited when I received a package from Becca with all six shades of their Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blushes.

The six available shades are:

Snapdragon (coral)

Tigerlily (tangerine)

Blushed Copper (copper)

Camellia (ballerina pink)

Foxglove (orchid)

Dahlia (cabernet)

There is not one shade that I wouldn’t wear in the line. I think Becca did a great job with the shade selection and made the shades suited for every skin tone. Because of how pigmented and intense these blushes are, fair and light skin tones can wear them with a light application but also the blushes would work for people with deeper skin tones.

The Becca Luminous Blushes are designed to be used on their own or as blush toppers if you would like to add some glow over your matte blush. If you’re familiar with the Shimmering Skin Perfectors you’ll know that they give the most beautiful highlight to the cheeks and since the Luminous Blushes have a mix of pigment and the same formula as the Shimmering Skin Perfectors they look beautiful on the cheeks.

Five shades from the line are brand new and the shade in Blushed Copper is a repromote. If you remember Becca released a limited edition Shimmering Skin Perfector in Blushed Copper last Summer and it was a huge hit that they brought it back as a blush.

All six shades look great on my light to medium skin tone with warm undertones. With the darker shades like Dahlia and Brushed Copper I have to be careful with application since the blushes are very pigmented. What I do is use a blush brush and first tap the brush on the back of my hand just to make sure I don’t have a lot of product and then I proceed with application.

When it comes to darker blushes it’s easier to build them up than to apply them heavily and then spend a lot of time blending.

My current most used shades are Snapdragon and Tigerlily, the more summery shades from the line. Dahlia would be perfect for the fall months and I would wear Blushed Copper when I’m a little more tanned. Camellia and Foxglove are universal shades so you can wear them all year round and I think they would go really well with cooler toned makeup.

Swatches L to R: Camellia, Foxglove, Snapdragon, Tigerlily, Blushed Copper, Dahlia

As I mentioned in my previous post the Becca Luminous Blushes give a beautiful glowy cheek without any noticeable shimmer plus they don’t emphasize any pores or imperfections on the skin. They also have intense pigmentation and darker shades so I think that the shades are more versatile and that’s why they claim that they’re designed to suit every skin tone.

If you’re looking to add a good glowy blush to your collection and also get a nice blush for spring/summer I highly recommend checking these out. You can find all six shade on beccacosmetics.com and Sephora.
