Since I turned 30 I started to be very selective what kind of skincare I use because our skin has different needs from when we were teenagers and in our early 20’s. My skin also changed because I moved to a place with dryer climate so I constantly have to adjust what I put on my face. I received some products from Darphin that I’ve been testing for almost a month so I wanted to share my favorite products from the brand.
If you’re not familiar with Darphin, it is a luxury French skincare line created by Pierre Darphin during the 50’s in Paris. They focus on using the most luxurious and high quality ingredients and take their time in creating their products. For example, the rose petals that are used in the destillation process are picked just as they unfold in the early hours of dawn and it takes thousands of rose blossoms to produce one single ounce of their essential oil.
Here are some of my favorite skincare products from Darphin that worked really well with my combination to normal skin:
INTRAL Redness Relief Soothing Serum – It’s one of their best selling products and I can see why. It’s a high potency serum that helps with reducing redness and calming irritated skin. It’s a great serum if you have sensitive skin that’s prone to redness and irritation. The consistency of the serum is thin so it sinks very well in to the skin.
I highly recommend the serum for people who suffer with eczema and itchy skin because it really helps. Also it feels really nice and helps with calming sunburns and wind burns.
Hydraskin Light Gel Cream – It’s recommended for normal to combination skin and it’s also one of their best selling products. It’s made with HYDRA-STRUCTURE technology which is a high performance hydrating complex of powerful ingredients Salicornia Herbacea and Butterfly Lavender which help with waking up the skin’s moisture mechanism. It’s a very hydrating gel cream that’s light on the skin and also doesn’t leave the skin greasy or oily. My skin felt very nice and fresh after application and the cream added plenty of moisture. I recommend this cream for people who need moisture but don’t want a heavy moisturizer.
Ideal Resource Smoothing Retexturizing Radiance Cream – It’s an anti-aging rich cream that helps with skin texture, complexion luminosity and fine lines. The cream really makes you glow. I prefer to use it in the morning since it just revives my complexion and leaves me with illuminated skin. I’ve also noticed that it makes my skin look brighter hence the illuminating effect. I don’t have a lot of lines on my face so I can’t say if it helps with that but if you’re looking for a good hydrating and a cream that gives you a glow this is a nice one to try. The cream is rich so I would recommend it for people with dry, normal to combo skin.
I think the star of the Darphin skincare line are their Essential Oil Elixirs. I’ve tried two of them and both are lovely. They’re crafted with the finest aromatic essential oils and absorb very quickly in to the skin without leaving a greasy and oily feeling.
The 8 Flower Nectar is a rejuvenating elixir and contains a blend of radiance boosting aromatic essences of 8 precious flowers. The oil helps with smoothing fine lines, firms skin, replenishes radiance and leaves you with younger looking skin. The oils are a pleasure to apply. They all have pleasant aromatic scents and it almost feels like a spa treatment during application. I love this oil because I can use it morning or night because it doesn’t leave you with an oil residue and sits well under makeup.
The Orange Blossom Aromatic Care has 7 aromatic extracts: Orange Blossom, Lemon, Carrot, Lavender, Chamomille, Bilberry and Cranberry. It helps with brightening, lightening and soothing the skin and it also helps with reducing the appearance of dark spots. It has a very pleasant scent and also doesn’t leave you with an oily feeling after application so you can use it both day and night. I recommend it for people who would like a brighter complexion and also for people who are suffering from dark spots either from the sun or from past acne scars.
It was a pleasure to test all these skincare products from Darphin. The brand is luxury so a little on the pricy side but worth investing in. Like I always say, if you don’t take care of your skin no matter what high quality makeup you buy it will not look good if your skin is not in good condition so if you can, invest in your skincare.
