October’s been a month of a lot of shopping in the makeup department :). It’s either new collection or holiday collections you name it, there are products coming out that the beauty blogger in me needs to try.
Hourglass came out with an Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. I don’t own any of the individual blushes so I had to pick this palette. It’s safe to say that this has been my go to blush for the month of October. I mainly use Luminous Flush or sometimes mix two blushes to get a custom color. I picked up a new foundation this month, the Chanel Perfection Lumere Velvet. This is my first experience with a higher end foundation and I have to say that you get what you pay for. I think that foundation is the product you want to splurge on, cause if you have the perfect looking base everything else will look much better. I’m not going to go too much in to explaining what I like about it cause an in depth review is coming up on the blog.
Fall is the time when I pull out my berry lipsticks. This month I’ve been loving Too Faced Melted Berry, this is a mini version that came from a Holiday set. It’s the perfect red berry color, it’s long wearing and doesn’t bleed and that’s the two things I ask from a dark lip. You can find swatches of the holiday mini set here.
The other berry color is Mac Fashion Revival, this is from their new matte collection and it’s limited edition. It’s very similar to Rebel but just a touch more purple, I wear it with Nightmoth lipliner also from Mac to make it more vampy.
Nars Audacious lipstick in Barbara is my perfect every day nude. These are a little more expensive but so worth the price. They’re creamy, pigmented and long lasting, everything you want in a lipstick.
I’ve been really in to eye crayon sticks this month. They’re so perfect when you’re in a hurry, specially in the morning when I don’t have a lot of time to do my makeup I just slap this blend and I’m out the door. The shade I’ve been using the most is from Stila and it’s in Antique. It’s a peachy champagne color that you can use as a primer/base or just by itself.
Most used mask for this month has been the Glam Glow Youthmud. These masks are very popular and for a reason. When I have breakouts or just feel that my face needs that extra something I use this and it makes such a difference. My pores look smaller and cleaner. Highly recommend this mask.
Since I purchased the Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner I haven’t used body lotion. It makes my skin soft and as a plus it smells so yummy. You can read about this product here.
My go to perfume for October was Tom Ford Black Orchid. I keep this scent for Fall and Winter cause it’s spicy and very strong so I can’t really use it in Summer. It’s very potent so I just need one spritz and that will last me through the day.
