This past month I’ve been in to a more natural and low maintenance makeup look. I used products that are quick to apply and last all day so I don’t have to worry too much about touching up.
I’m all about natural looking skin these days, I really like my light coverage foundations so I’ve been loving the glo minerals Luxe Liquid foundation *. It has semi dewy finish which I love for winter and feels very light on the face. Watch out for a full blog post review.
The Kiko Daring Game limited edition contour palette is very similar to my well loved Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. I would say that the highlighter in the CT palette is creamier but otherwise they’re very similar in texture. I’ve been using this to warm up my face and add a touch of glow, too bad it’s limited edition.
I noticed that every month I have to have something from the Charlotte Tilbury line, I just love her products. She recently launched the Filmstar On the Go palettes which contain a cream eyeshadow and a cream lip & cheek product. I’ve been loving The Spy Who Loved me palette for creating an every day look. I have all shades so watch out for a full review and swatches.
Maybelline has the best drugstore concealer, seriously the Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles is the best I’ve tried. It’s thin in consistency but covers well and blends seamlessly, everything that you want from a concealer.I’ve been using this over my higher end concealers.
I discovered two new lip products in the month of January, the Rimmel Provocalips 16h Kissproof Lip Colour and the YSL Volupte Tint in oil. From the Provocalips I’ve been loving Make Your Move, a dusty mauve shade perfect for every day. The YSL Volupte Tint in oils have a neat formula, they’re oils that go on clear but then change in color and stain your lips. I’ve been loving the shade in 06 Peach me love. I’ll be doing reviews and swatches for both lip products too.
The new Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes launched in January so of course I had to pick some up. The first brush I picked up is the 100 Arched Powder Brush and instantly fell in love. I use this brush more for bronzer than for powder since it’s perfectly tapered and great for bronzing up the face. These are priced more than their regular brushes but also feel more luxurious and well made and so worth the price.
The perfume I was constantly wearing through the month of January was the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black. I love the rollerball cause I can carry it in my purse but I’m planning to get the full size since I love it so much. It’s a stronger scent so I would recommend this for winter time.
