Well this was a short month. I’m actually glad that it’s almost over because that means spring is coming and warmer weather will be with us in no time. The changing of seasons excites me the most not because of the weather but of course because of the change of makeup trends.
It’s not even spring and I started switching my makeup, especially my lipsticks shades, I’ve been all about rosy tones and bright lips.
The foundation I was wearing practically the whole month is the L’oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation. I think I found my HG foundation from the drugstore! It’s light, makes your skin look very healthy and glowy and the shade match is perfect. I highly recommend trying this foundation if you’re a fan of light coverage and dewy finish foundations.
To add more glow to my face, another base product that has been a big favorite is the Becca Backlight Priming Filter, an illuminating primer that gives a beautiful glow to the face without any shimmer. I did a whole blog post about this primer and the new Becca foundation so if you’re interested in more details you can read about it here.
And the last product that’s also glowy, you can tell that I’m all about that glow, is the Sephora Radiant Luminizing Drops in 01 Ultralight-Bronze. I’m planning a blog post about these drops but for now all I can tell you is that they’re very liquidy, more that the Becca liquid highlighters that makes them perfect for mixing with your foundation but also using them as a base for your powder highlighter.
The blush that I’ve been using a lot this past month is the Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose, a pretty neutral nude shade that goes with every look. These blushes are not only pretty to look at, they’re pigmented and blend beautifully on the skin. I saw that they added new shades to the line so I’ll definitely pick up some fun shades for spring.
And last but not least the two lip products. One is a light nude and one is the total opposite, a bright orange red. I’m sure I’ve already mentioned the Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick in Anais. It’s a beautiful light beige nude lipstick that’s perfect for every day but also great for when you’re wearing stronger eye makeup. I have four of the six available shades in the line and can’t get enough, the lipsticks are creamy and so perfect for every day wear.
If you’re in to bright orange matte lipsticks you have to try the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Quite The Standout. The formula of these liquid lipsticks is lightweight, meaning after they dry you don’t feel them on the lips and they don’t transfer. I didn’t find it extremely drying and the wear was excellent.
