Wow December went fast, I got caught up with the holidays and before I realized I was planning my NYE party :). December was a lipstick kinda month, I don’t want to go back and count how many new lipsticks I purchased, I admit I kinda became a lipstick hoarder.
A formula that caught my eye the past month was the matte liquid lipstick formula. A lot of makeup companies have their range of liquid lipsticks but the one formula that I really love is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks. I have worn the shade in Aria (magenta plum) at least twice a week in the month of December. These have a matte finish but are comfortable to wear and don’t dry your lips, of course you have to make sure your lips are in good condition before you wear a matte lipstick.
I know the Nars Narsissist palette is not new but I waited to get it for that long cause it had mixed reviews so I wasn’t sure if I should get it or not. I’m glad that I picked it up cause this palette has been my favorite for the month of December. It’s a beautiful neutral palette but has enough variety to make it different from the other palettes that I own. The eyeshadows are not as buttery as UD eyeshadows but they’re buildable and great for a beginner, cause you can control the pigmentation.
Also form Nars I’ve been loving their blush in Sin. It’s the perfect light plummy shade with a little bit of golden sheen, great for the winter months. I like it cause it’s very natural on the skin and you can never over do it.
I don’t think I’ve mentioned my love for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, I’ve been using this brow pencil for a long time and I’ve tried different brands but I always go back to this cause nothing compares. I use the shade Taupe, it’s the prefect shade for light blondes.
I’ve been really in to winged liner in the month of December, I just love how it elongates my eyes and even if I’m wearing minimal makeup it gives a nice touch to the whole look. I got a deluxe sample from the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper at Sephora and I have to say that it’s one of the best liner pens that I’ve used in a long time. It’s very easy to use cause of the brush tip applicator, it’s very black and dries to a matte finish, just make sure to shake it before application.
My two go to brushes for my eye makeup have been my Mac 217 and 224. You only need these two brushes to create whatever eye look you want. The 224 is perfect for blending out edges and the 217 is great for packing up color, applying color in the crease and blending.
In the month of December I’ve been introduced to a new skincare line called Tula. The skincare line is made with a Probiotic Technology that helps against undesired, external bacteria and protects the skin against negative environmental influences. I specifically love the Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream. The cream is rich but doesn’t feel greasy on the skin, it has anti aging properties and it also helps with hydrating the skin. I’ll post a more detailed review of the line soon.
For accessories I’ve been really in to dainty necklaces, the one I’ve been wearing all the time is the Gorjana Taner Bar Small Necklace, it just goes with everything and it’s perfect for layering.
