Have you heard of sophisticated sparkle? The Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadows are described as that, sophisticated sparkle with intense pigmentation, microfine sparkle and 3D metallics. They’re super sparkly but the sparkle is so fine that you’re not going to notice any chunky glitter.
The eyeshadows feel like a cream to the touch but apply like powder and the finish that they give is amazing. It’s almost like a wet looking sparkle with 3D effect, very unique and nothing I’ve ever seen in other eyeshadows.
There are fifteen available shades with five different finishes in the line ranging from pretty champagne neutrals to fun pops of color. The finishes are Sparkle, Shimmer, Metallic, Duotone and Glitter.
The shades in the line are:
Cosmic – Metallic white with iridescent 3D sparkle and shift
Diamond Dog – Deep brown with white gold sparkle
Space Cowboy – Light champagne with bright silver sparkle
Dark Force – Taupe brown with gold and iridescent 3D sparkle
Interstellar – Antique gold with pink and gold 3D sparkle
Stargazer – Metallic lime gold with gold 3D sparkle
Monspoon – Medium gray with bright silver sparkle
Solstice – Metallic pink red with green 3D sparkle and shift
Zodiac – Smoky black with blue green shift and blue green 3D sparkle
Vortex – Smoky black with green shift and gold 3D sparkle
Scorpio – Black matte with gold 3D sparkle
Glitter Rock – Metallic pink with pink 3D sparkle
Shockwave – Deep berry with pink and blue 3D sparkle
Ether – Light purple with pink blue 3D sparkle and shift
Intergalactic – Medium purple with bright silver sparkle
All fifteen shades are very pigmented and feel silky smooth to the touch. Since the eyeshadows have a lot of sparkle the recommended application method is to use your fingers and just pat them down on the lid, you can also use a flat synthetic brush but you will get better pigmentation and less fallout if you use your fingers. If you like more intensity you can also use the eyeshadows wet and get that wet metallic finish.

If you like to try sparkly eyeshadows that are on another level you should give these a go. The finish is just stunning and the quality of the eyeshadows is amazing. My favorite colors include Diamond Dog, Space Cowboy, Dark Force and Solstice. I always go for more neutral colors but I think in this collection even the pops of color are wearable.
