A recent lip product release from By Terry is a very innovative lipstick called the Rouge-Expert Click Stick. It’s a 3 in 1 hybrid lip product that delivers the comfort of a balm, precision of a pencil and high pigment intensity of a lipstick. All while housed in a stick form with a clicking mechanism.
The By Terry Rouge Expert Click Stick line has 25 shades. The shade selection goes from every day neutral nudes to dark and vampy purples.
I received six shades for testing purposes in:
3 Bare Me (rosy beige with a velvet matte finish)
7 Flirt Affair (fuchsia pink with a velvet matte finish)
10 Garnet Glow (pinky garnet with a velvet matte finish)
16 Rouge Initiation (warm red with a velvet matte finish)
18 Be Mine (muted red with a velvet matte finish)
23 Pink Pong (magenta purple with a velvet matte finish)
Formula wise the By Terry Rouge Expert Click Stick have a velvet matte formula. I find the formula very interesting and unique. The lipstick glides on the lips like you’re applying a lip balm, it doesn’t dry your lips but it appears as a matte finish. You also get full on pigment with one swipe.
I have to admit that the pointed shape was different for me so it took me two applications to get used to it. But the way the lip product is shaped, you can do precise lines and not need a lip liner.
Most of By Terry’s products are rose scented and the By Terry Rouge Expert Click Stick have a slight rose scent which doesn’t linger after application.
Also I wanted to mention that the tube is non-rectractable so make sure to release as much product as you need.
From the six shades that I tested, the only shade that wasn’t my taste was the shade in 07 Flirt Affair. Like I’ve said before, I just can’t pull off bright pinks on my skin tone. Otherwise the rest, I think looks great on me. I especially love the shades in 03 Bare Me and 16 Rouge Initiation.
Swatches L to R: 3 Bare Me, 7 Flirt Affair, 10 Garnet Glow, 16 Rouge Initiation, 18 Be Mine, 23 Pink Pong

Another product that I tested from the brand is the Impearlious Elixir De Perle. It was a limited edition release for the holidays and unfortunately it is sold out everywhere.
The By Terry Impearlious Elixir De Perle is described as the perfect base for achieving a natural youthful look. A luxurious hybrid of an anti-aging moisturizer and an illuminating primer, Élixir de Perle hydrates and revives the skin as it leaves behind a veil of luminous, peachy-pink color that instantly creates a fresh, well-rested appearence.
This primer not only has skincare anti-aging benefits, it also blurs pores and hydrates the skin while leaving you with a subtle illuminating glow. It has a water balm texture that feels super light on the skin without feeling greasy. You can either use it as a base before your foundation or mix it with to add some dewiness to the formula.
Both products from the brand are of excellent quality. If you’re looking for a comfortable matte lipsticks, the Rouge Expert Click Sticks are worth checking out. I think I might get one or two nude shades from the line since I ended up liking them so much.
