Fall weather is upon us and It couldn’t come sooner. Every year I get pretty excited for fall. Fall means I get to pull out my berry and dark lipsticks which I love wearing during the colder months. Don’t get me wrong I love nudes and bright shades but there’s something about a dark lip that feels very sexy to me.
When I’m looking for a dark lipsticks it’s usually either a berry shade or those dark wine hues.
Here are my top five picks of dark and vampy shades for fall:
MAC Rebel – If you buy one lipstick for fall you should go with Rebel. It’s my most worn fall and winter lipstick that suits most skin tones. It’s described as a pink plum lipstick with satin finish. It’s very comfortable to wear and doesn’t dry you lips but also doesn’t feather and stays put.
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme in Blow – It’s described as a dark berry but on me it pulls dark red undertones. The Le Marc Lip Cremes have a velvety formula and pack a lot of pigment, you literally need one swipe and you’re good to go.
Nars Audacious Lipstick in Liv – This is the vampiest of shades that I have. It’s described as a deep aubergine and it’s exactly that, a dark vampy purple. You have to use a lip liner with this shade if you want precise lines so I use Mac Nightmoth and it’s the perfect match.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipsticks in Love Liberty and Glastonberry – I can’t say good enough things about the Matte Revolution line of lipsticks. It’s matte but doesn’t dry your lips so it’s very comfortable to wear. Love Liberty is inspired by Liberty Ross, a wild rose shade that will suit a lot of skin tones. This lipstick is like your entry level of dark fall lipsticks, it’s a very wearable shade. Glastonberry on the other hand is the darkest shade in the line. It’s described as a sheer blackcurrant shade for sex kittens like Rihanna and Grace Jones. It’s a plum purple berry shade that I plan to wear a lot in fall.
