The recent LE collection from MAC It’s A Strike is expired by bowling and the bowling alley. The collection has a variety of mostly matte eyeshadows, seven shades of lipsticks, Cremesheen glasses, Casual Colors, Nail Lacquers and a cool looking Face Powder.
The shades in the collection are all very wearable and there are some great darker shades that will be perfect for fall.
I received the following products to test out:
Lipstick in Liquid Lurex (tarnished golden)
Lipstick in All Fired Up (bright fuchsia matte in retro matte finish)
Lipstick in Honeylove (light beige toned with rose in matte finish)
Cremesheen Glass in It’s a Strike (soft nude pink)
Cremesheen Glass in Throw A Spare (fuchsia with pearl)
Cremesheen Glass in Perfect Frame (dark purple)
Cremesheen Glass in King Pin (deep chocolate mauve)
Cremesheen Glass in Right Up My Alley (deep red)
Eyeshadow in Bowl Out (midtone grey in matte finish)
Fluidline Pen in Vintage Brown (deep dark brown)
Casual Colour in Have A Lovely Day! (neutral nude)
Casual Colour in Blind Score (dirty reddish lilac)
MAC Studio Nail Lacquer in Babysplit (sheer lime green)
Two of the lipsticks that I received are also part of Mac’s permanent line. They’re both very beautiful shades and super long lasting because of the matte finish. All Fired Up felt more drying on the lips than Honeylove since it’s a Retro Matte but it was still comfortable to wear. The lipstick shade in Liquid Lurex is an online exclusive and a shade that you can use over another lipstick if you want to add some gold sparkle.
The Cremesheen Glass shades that are part of the collection are very pretty. If you’re not familiar with the Cremesheen Glass formula, they have a semi sheer finish, feel very creamy on the lips, have a glossy finish and are also not sticky so they’re very comfortable to wear. The pigmentation is in between, they have enough pigment to be worn on their own but they also make great lipstick toppers.
The Casual Colours are a creamy formula that’s meant to be used both on the lips and cheeks. The formula is creamy and pigmented but doesn’t feel sticky on the skin, it just leaves you with a natural glowy finish. I really like both shades from the collection and see myself wearing them a lot.
Both the eyeshadow and the Fluidline performed really well. I’m a big fan of MAC Fluidline because of the fine and flexible tip, they’re super easy to use and dry out matte which I prefer with a liquid eyeliner.
