LOC (Love of Color) is a new makeup line made by Birchbox. They collaborated with Youtube beauty guru Tati to make their first line of lipsticks and cream eye pencils. The cruelty-free, highly pigmented and creamy shadows and lipsticks were specially selected by Tati for the fall/winter collection.
The whole collection is budget friendly and the size is perfect for on the go. Both the shadows and lipsticks have a pencil form so they’re very easy to store and use.
The shadows and lipsticks are all available individually but Birchbox also has a variety of sets that would be perfect for presents.
The LOC Ultimate Collection* set contains the whole line. There are three matte lipsticks and five shimmery eyeshadows.
The 5 One & Done Shadow Sticks are cream eyeshadows in a stick form. I think Tati did a great job with the shade selection as every shade is very wearable. You get some daytime shades but also some darker shades for creating a smoky eye. The set also comes with a sharpener which comes handy.
The shades in the line are: On Point (silvery taupe), Day Trip (warm copper), Impress Me (deep rose gold), Nite Owl (deep plum) and Smoke Screen (metallic steel).
Every single shade in the line is super pigmented. The formula is creamy and blends really nicely. It also sets very fast so you have to work on one eye at a time. You can choose to blend the eyeshadow for a wash of color but you can also pack it on for a more intense look.
The three Vibrant Matte Lipsticks have a pillow soft formula which is matte but still comfortable to wear. I like how she picked three shades for every occasion, you get a nude for every day, red for special occasion and a berry when you want to wear something dark and vampy. The shades in the collection are: First Kiss (light peachy nude), Wildest Dreams (true red) and Glam Life (berry).
The only shade I can’t wear on it’s own is the nude shade, it’s just too light for my skin tone so I pair it with a lipgloss to make it more wearable. Both the red and the berry shades are really nice and last a long time on the lips.

Both the lipsticks and the shadows are excellent quality. I love that they all come in a pencil form and you also get a good size for the affordable price. The LOC Ultimate Collection is available at Birchbox for $46 and the set is a $79 value. If you want to buy single shades, the lipsticks are priced at $8 and the shadows are $10.
