Let’s be honest here, I don’t wear make up every day. I apply make up when I go to work or go out for dinner but otherwise I like to leave my face bare, maybe just apply a little bit of concealer so I look somewhat presentable :). This make up bag came with a set that I bought from Clinique, I think the set was called De Aging Set, anyway it was a skincare set that I really like. I keep my daily make up in there and keep the bag in my bathroom so I can get ready in the morning without waking up my little kid and my husband. Here are the products that I used in the month of July.
This primer is the bomb! It blurs out my pores around my t-zone like no other primer, and I’ve tried a lot. You can wear it under foundation or on it’s own. Not only does it help with large pores and wrinkles it makes my makeup last all day. This one is a keeper.
Balm Shelter Tinted Moisturizer
A lightweight base that gives me a little tint and evens out my skin tone. It’s great for those hot and humid summer days when you don’t want to wear a heavy foundation. It has SPF 18 which is always a plus. I do need a concealer to cover up my dark circles but I use concealer anyways with all my foundations/bb creams.
I really like the Mac Pro Longwear concealer but it’s too heavy for every day use so I keep it for special occasions or whenever I go out at night. This is my every day concealer because It’s lightweight, doesn’t crease on me and it blends really well. I do set it with a powder so I can’t say how it performs on its own.
Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
This is such a cult product, it seems everybody in the beauty industry likes it. It keeps my face matt for around 5 hours and then I have to reapply, but that happens with all of the powders that I use. For the price it’s a great powder.
I’ve had this MSFN for a year now and it still looks like new. This bronzer is not for everybody as it has a little bit of orange in it, it’s perfect for medium skin tone girls so girls on the paler side be aware. It blends really nice, it’s mat but it gives that really nice bronzy glow to the skin.
The sales person at MAC told me that this blush is popular among Brazilian women. While I’m not Brazilian I also looove this blush. It’s a mineralize blush so you don’t need to apply a highlighter, you can skip that extra step in your makeup routine. It’s really pigmented so you have to be careful when you apply it. On their website it’s described as warm mid tone brown with gold pearl and that’s on point. It gives your cheeks a bronzy glow and works really well with the Give me Sun bronzer.
Rimmel Scandal Eye Shadow Paint Line
This product is pretty new to me but after trying this shade, I want them all. I bought the shade Peachy Apricot and I love it. It’s a bronzy rose gold shade that you can apply as a primer or use it on it’s own. I like to slap this when I’m in a hurry and just get out the door. It dries quick so work on one eye at a time, but when it dries there is no budging. It last all day on me without creasing and my eyelids are on the oilier side.
You can’t go wrong with a pop of color on your eyes. I chose the color blue as I have very dark brown eyes so it compliments them perfectly. This eyeliner is budge proof, requires no sharpening and it’s pretty inexpensive, it’s all that you want from an eyeliner.
MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara
I got this mascara as my birthday gift from Sephora so it’s a deluxe mini. I haven’t stopped using it since as it gives my lashes a lot of volume and it also lengthens them. I also like it cause it’s easy to take off. I’m a drugstore mascara kind of gal but I might have to get the full size of this.
LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick in Duchess
I love me some matte lipstick. Be aware this lipstick clings on to dry lips so make sure you exfoliate before you apply. I usually put a lip balm when I start doing my makeup so my lips get hydrated and that helps a lot. Duchess is a rosy nude so it’s perfect for an every day/office ware. Since it’s a matte finish it does last on me for a long time.
Maybelline Color Elixir in Caramel Infused
If I like to add some glossiness to my every day nude lip I use this bad boy. I love the texture of these lip glosses, they feel like a lip balm when you apply them and the staying power is like a lipstick.
Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick In Juicy Peach
When I don’t feel like wearing a nude lip I reach for this. It’s a light peachy color with a little bit of shimmer, so it makes your lips look very juicy. It doesn’t last very long but I don’t mind reapplying as it’s so moisturizing it feels like applying a lip balm.
