Let’s get real. As a mom of two little ones I currently don’t have time to go to the spa. If you can afford it, going to a spa for a facial at least once in six months is really good for your skin. Especially if you’re wearing makeup on daily basis it’s nice to treat the skin by a professional. Maybe when my daughter gets older I will find time but for now I try to nourish my skin at home.
Dr. Dennis Gross has a Pro Facial Steamer which is an at home professional facial device that has micro-steam technology. It helps the skin with hydration, clarifies and detoxifies the skin and leaves you with a radiant complexion.
It’s a facial steamer that enhances the benefits of the skincare that you’re using. It delivers steam up to 9 minutes and primes your skin for exfoliation and intensifies the absorption of the products that you will use after the treatment.
I use the Dr. Dennis Gross Pro Facial Steamer at least five times a week. I use it on my masking days, before any mask application and also before my nigh time skincare routine. The warm steam helps with opening the pores and not only hydrates my skin but it also helps with my constant dry lips.
The device has a small water container in the back which you fill up with cold water. After that you turn the switch On and it heats up pretty quickly, probably less than a minute. It’s a compact device but delivers a good amount of steam that feels wonderful on the face.
At the moment I’m using a clarifying mask followed by a hydrating sheet mask. Sundays are reserved for masking but since the weather has been so dry I’ve been masking at least three times a week. I’m currently using the Glamglow SuperMud which is a clarifying mask following up with any hydrating sheet mask I have on hand. Yesterday I used the Peach & Lily Good Skin Day Mask which is really nice and only $6.
I feel like the Dr. Dennis Gross Pro Facial Steamer helps with hydration a lot and the overall effect of my skincare. Is it a must have? No. But it’s nice to have. Especially if you don’t have time to go to the spa like me, it brings the spa-like experience in the comfort of your home.
