Ciaté London is a pretty new brand to me. I’ve tried some of their nail polishes which they’re most famous for but since they expanded their line and released makeup products I decided to test out one of their eyeshadow palettes.
Ciaté’s Creative Director Olivia Palermo created the Smokey Suedes Eye Palette gathering her favorite shades. The Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London Smokey Suedes Eye Palette contains nine different shades with two finishes.
The packaging is this very chic black and gold metal like packaging which reminds me of a small clutch. It looks and feels very luxurious and well made.
The eyeshadow shades are mainly earthy tones which I love for fall. It has five shimmery shades and four matte shades. The shimmery shades have very fine shimmer so they’re not glittery. The texture of the eyeshadows feels almost like velvet, very soft but not powdery. Every single shade packs a good pigment with only one swipe.
The shades in the palette are:
Shaken (pearl gold shimmer), Verde (pearl bright olive), Whoopie Pie (matte deep brown), Glazed (pearl bronze/red shimmer), Butler (matte bone), Prosecco (pearl ivory shimmer), Cocoa (pearl bronze shimmer), Macchiato (matte mid-pink brown), Plumberry (matte aubergine).
The palette has a great variety of shades, good for creating a simple day time look but also a sultry smokey nighttime look. I love the pop of olive and purple, it adds a touch of color to the palette but the shades are still wearable.
The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is excellent! I would compare them to Urban Decay eyeshadows, they are soft and super pigmented but you don’t get any fallout. The size of the palette is pretty compact and great for travel or for on the go but you do get a lot of product since the eyeshadow pans spread through the whole eye palette.

The swatches above were done with only one swipe so you can see how pigmented the eyeshadows are. As you can see the shimmery shades have sophisticated shimmer that is both day and nighttime appropriate.
If you’re looking for a good every day neutral palette but still want some variety the Olivia Palermo x Ciaté London Smokey Suedes Eye Palette is an excellent option. It’s compact, beautiful and you get a great matte to shimmer ratio.
Next I got my eyes on their new eyeshadow palette called The Smouldering Eye Palette which is the more colorful version but still pretty wearable.
