The Dolce Vita palette contains four harmonious shades that compliment each other really well. The palette is constructed in a way that you can do your whole look and not reach for any other palette. All the eyeshadows are on the warm side, very pigmented and easy to blend. There is no matte shades in this quad, three shades are shimmery and the fourth is glitter. I don’t mind using a shimmery shade in the crease but for some people that’s a no no so be aware of that.
Charlotte Tilbury has a step by step guide how to create the “Dolce Vita” look.
To create the “Dolce Vita” smoky eye, sweep the champagne base color ( Prime) all over your lid, then apply the coppery shade (Enhance) to the socket and outer corner of the eye. If you like a more intense look you can add the dark bronzy shade (Smoke) on the outer corner of the eye. To add a pop of color and sparkle apply the copper glitter (Pop) with your fingers.
The shadows are easy to work with and they last a long time. The glittery shade should be applied with your fingers as Charlotte recommends as you can’t get the same pigmentation if you use a brush.
Here is a video of Charlotte Tilbury herself demonstrating how to get the “Dolce Vita” look:
The only remark that I have is about the packaging as it feels very light, not something that you usually get with a luxury palette, but I think the product inside makes up for that.
So far I really like everything in her line. I’m sure I’ll have more products to review for you guys so watch out for that :).
