bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blushes are a new addition to the Gen Nude line. bareMinerals first introduced lipsticks, liquid lipsticks and glosses, all in different hues of nude. Since then, they added the new blush line and also Patent Lip Lacquers.
The Gen Nude Powder Blushes have a soft powder formula that gives a natural but buildable flush of color. They are infused with good for skin ingredients and bareMinerals’ Blurring Mineral Complex which provides a soft focus effect on the skin.
There are 12 shades in the line and I’ve got 10 of them to share with you. The shade selection goes from bronze nude to beautiful berry shades. The idea is that all the shades are neutral, subtle and there is a shade for every skin tone.
The finish of the Gen Nude Powder Blushes is very soft to the touch but not powdery. They give a sating finish on the skin and a subtle glow without any noticeable shimmer. The pigmentation is buildable so you don’t have to be too careful with application. I prefer my blushes to be on the sheer side since I can control the pigment and not end up with a lot of blush on my skin.
All the shades are very forgiving if you have any texture or pores on your cheeks. The finish that they give is a natural flush that will never look powdery or patchy. Very natural, which I prefer when it comes to blush.
The shades that I received from the bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blushes are as follows:
Pretty In Pink (pale baby pink)
That Peach Tho (soft peachy pink)
Bellini Brunch (warm peach)
Beige For Days (soft beige bronze)
Pink Me Up (medium nude pink with gold pearl)
Call My Blush (pink mauve)
Peachy Keen (dark terra-cotta peach with gold pearl)
On The Mauve (plum mauve with gold pearl)
Strike A Rose (medium warm rose)
You Had Me At Merlot (rich berry with gold pearl)
The Gen Nude Powder Blushes come in a matte/satin finish and a soft shimmer finish. The shimmery shades give a subtle glow on the skin and don’t accentuate any texture. The shimmer is very subtle and wearable. To the touch, the formula feels super silky, almost like a cream to powder. The powder blend so easy on the skin with hardly any effort.
As for the shades, there really is not a shade that I don’t like. I prefer my blushes on the neutral, more natural side so these are all right up my alley. I also love wearing peach blushes in spring/summer and they have some good ones in the line.

I haven’t been this excited for blushes in awhile. I have to admit that I sometimes skip blush and just go with a good bronzer but the shade selection in the Gen Nude line makes me want to use blush on the daily. The formula is such a breeze to work with and I love the soft focus glow that they give.
The bareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blushes are already available at Sephora and bareminerals.com and they retail for $24.
