I feel that everything L’oreal launches under their Infallible Pro line I end up liking. Their Infallible Pro Matte foundation is one of my favorite long wearing base that comes from the drugstore and the Infallible 24h Eye Shadows are also pretty up there when it comes to quality eyeshadows.
They recently released a Contour Makeup Kit under their Infallible line called the Infallible Pro Contour Palette. The line has three available shades in Light, Medium and Deep which I think is a pretty good shade selection for a contour palette.
When it comes to contour powders and palettes from the drugstore they’re hard to find and also rarely have worked for me. Either the powders are too powdery or in most cases the contour shade is too warm for my liking.
I’m happy to report that all three shades from the L’oreal Infallible Pro Contour Palettes are perfect for contouring. They’re matte and the contour shades are all on the cooler side so great for adding that natural looking shadow on your face. They also come with a brush which I tried using, it’s pretty good for applying the product but I do have to use another brush for blending. The way that the brush is shaped you can swipe it in to the two powders and apply the product on both the hollows of the cheek and the high points for the highlight shade.
The contour powders feel smooth to the touch and have medium pigmentation, meaning that they’re great for makeup beginners since you don’t have to be careful with application. When it comes to contouring powders I prefer them to not be extremely pigmented because sometimes when you have that and apply excess product on the face it’s really hard to achieve natural looking contour and it can look a little muddy.
The highlighting shade in all three palettes is shimmery but it is subtle, it’s perfect for people who prefer a more neutral highlight that’s also day appropriate.
Both the contouring and highlighting powder in every palette is finely milled and blends very easy on to the skin. The shade in Light is light enough so fair to light skin tones can use it which is very rare with contour palettes, the Medium shade is perfect for light to medium skin tones and it’s the shade I use and the Deep shade would be great for deeper skin tones and I can probably use in the summer.

The L’oreal Infallible Pro Contour Palette is perfect for the every day girl because it’s super easy to use and also very quick. It’s a great affordable option and an option if you’re a beginner or don’t use contouring powders every single day. All the shades look very natural on the skin and you can’t really overdo it when it comes to both powders.
It is another hit from L’oreal.
